ChemSafe is an Agrichemical Supplier Approved Handler renewal
service, brought to you by FarmSafe. With our efficient online
system, you can either renew your Agrichemical Supplier Approved
Handler Certificate in less than 30 minutes online or request a
Home Pack be sent to you in the post.
If you have already registered and created an account,
please Logon to go directly to
the start of the renewal process.
If you haven't yet registered please review the following Steps
that our renewal process takes and when you are ready, simply click
on 'Begin Renewal Process' at the bottom of this section and you
can begin. Once you have successfully completed our process,
you will be issued with your new Agrichemical Supplier Approved
Handler certificate which will be valid for 5 years.
HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?
ChemSafe's Agrichemical Supplier Approved Handler renewal
process is designed for Supplier Approved Handlers of Agrichemicals
who are seeking to renew their Agrichemical Supplier Approved
Handler test certificate.
To renew a test certificate you must know about any relevant
changes that have occurred to the Hazardous Substance and New
Organisms (HSNO) legislation, any changes to the NZ Standard
8409:2004 and changes to work practice of agrichemical suppliers
since your previous Approved Handler certificate was issued.
Our renewal service will outline the changes since your last
certificate was issued and after paying the fee, following the
steps and answering questions relating to the changes, you will be
able to complete the renewal process.
TWO RENEWAL OPTIONS - ONLINE OR POST
FarmSafe provides two easy options for you to complete your
renewal process:
1. Online - for those on broadband or fast dialup
speed.
2. Home Pack - Request a Home Pack either online (in Step 3) or by
phoning FarmSafe on 0800 545 747.
THE EASY STEPS TO RENEWING YOUR
CERTIFICATE:
STEP ONE : REGISTER & CREATE AN
ACCOUNT
First you need to register your details - this will enable you
to have a unique logon that you will require to proceed with the
renewal process. Once you have registered, your logon and password
will be immediately emailed to you.
Please note, you will require your current Supplier Approved
Handler Certificate number. If you have misplaced your
certificate you will need to contact your original Test
Certifier to request a copy of your certificate. If you need

STEP TWO : PAY THE RENEWAL FEE
Whether you choose to renew your certificate online or
with a Home Pack, the renewal fee is $100 (GST included).
Using your logon and password, you can securely pay online using
your credit card. As soon as payment is received you can
begin the online renewal service.
STEP THREE : REVIEW THE RESOURCES
or ORDER HOME PACK
Your logon will give you access to a brief video clip and/or a
downloadable workbook manual explaining the process. You will
be provided with information about the relevant changes that
have occurred to the legislation since your previous certificate
was issued.
If you do not have broadband or fast dial up, this is where you
can request a Home Pack. You will receive a DVD, workbook
manual, assessment and application form in the post. Once you have
completed the assessment and application form, please return it to
us in the reply paid envelope supplied.
STEP FOUR : COMPLETE THE
ASSESSMENT
After you have watched the video and / or read the workbook
there will be a short 10 question multichoice assessment which you
can complete and submit online. Your unique logon details allow you
to have 3 attempts at the assessment over 28 days.
Successful completion of the assessment will guide you to a one
page Application for Renewal form. When filled out this will
complete your request for renewal of your Agrichemical Supplier
Approved Handler Test Certificate from our Test Certifier.
This form, required by ERMA, will ask you for information from
your current certificate. . If you have misplaced your
certificate you will need to contact your original Test Certifier
to request a copy of your certificate. If you need assistance

If you are ready to go ahead and begin our simple four step
